TTG Asia reports that Thailand is seeking to open travel bubbles with its neighbors Cambodia, Laos, and Malaysia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Public Health are negotiating travel bubble arrangements that are specific to cities, islands, and provinces, including between Trat province and Cambodia’s Koh Kong island, between Malaysia’s Langkawi Island with Koh Lipe Island in southern Thailand, and a yet unnamed destination in Laos. Thailand is expected to open 15 of its provinces to inbound vaccinated tourists from selected countries on November 1 as well, though none of its land neighbors are named on that list as of yet.
